I use dandruff shampoo--Selsun Blue never Head and Shoulders because the zinc is not good for cats. It is very good for their coats.

the best way is to prevent it--it means they aren't getting the right food. try a higher quality canned food, it has more oils in it that is good for the cat's coat %26amp; skin. one small can a day should do the trick. nothing really helps externally, and many shampoos will only make it worse.
