I want hair extensions?

My hair is a little bit below my ears. I had to cut my hair to make it easier for me in the training environment (I'm in the army) but I miss my longer hair! I keep reading about so many kinds of extensions but I'm not sure what would be worth my money, and want it to last a few months.

My friends sister in law says she can put microlinks in my hair and it will last up to 3-6 months. But I was wondering what the best way is to go?

I'm white, with dark brown layered hair if that helps :)

if your gonna go for extentsions i dont reccomend the one that they sew into your hair! b/c it will cause breakage and make you loose some hair! why do you think christina agulera has short hair now! i reccomend the one that they glue in! or the ones that are like single strands thats they clip on to your hair!

If she can do it then go ahead and give that a shot. When you get it don at the salon it costs min. $600-$700 and lasts the same amount of time. If she's offering to do it then that will save you a sh*tload of money. The onlyother way I'd recommend extensions is more of a temp. way done at the flea market and costs only about $70 in tota (w/hair) but it won't last nearly as long.

it's funny how white people clown on black girls havin weave, but now white girls want to get it done. anyway try getting your hair cornrowed (yes cornrowed) then get the extensions sewn in that way your hair grows at the same time. your hair will break and since you're white you might even get bumps around your forehead from your hair being pulled back because you're not used to it. if i were you i'd get it microlinked by the sista in law she's black, huh? lol lemme stop being mean. either way you go i hope it turns out.
