I just wanted to respond to a question about why there is so much hate between black girls and white

i have to laugh out loud at that question. let's just set the record straight and be honest with ourselves. someone made the comment that black girls are envious of the way white women look,and that's why they spend time perming,and dying their hair to imitate the white woman. can you honestly tell me why though? of course you can't. black women perm and dye their because since we we're brought to this country we lost a lot of our culture. we adopted the white beauty standards while abandoning our roots. til this day black women perm and dye their hair because we haven't fully reclaimed who we are. also,during slavery blacks had no legal rights to protect them,that meant that slave holders and white men could rape and sexually molest our women at anytime. while black women we're being dehumanized and shamed, white women were held high as the chaste Christian woman with values .

You are one of the few who are outspoken about this history which is awful for sure. But I think a lot of black and white women aren't knowledgeable or aware of it, so then what would cause the perceived hatred between them? Personally I haven't seen it, but I live in a small northern town. My guess would be that now that black people are finally getting educations and rising above the circumstances set against them from their history here in US that there seems to be a desire in black men to hunt out white women which can understandably aggravate black women who want to preserve something about their culture apart from the ecclectic mix of cultures that we enjoy here in the US.

Most of my best friends in school were black i am white NO one was envious of each other. It's not a black white thing we are all the same it is what you do with your life that makes you special. Sorry but the white women were NOT HELD AS THE CHASTE CHRISTIAN WOMEN WITH VALUES. The white women were also beaten they were not allowed to do anything either they were left in the kitchen to cook and wash clothes and beaten quite often. I have read writings from back then that are true facts.White women did not have legal rights and were also raped time and time again.. If you want to reclaim your rights as a black women then do it who is stopping you. I guess it is easier to whine than do. I am not to be blamed for something i did not do nor did my grandparents. As far as that whining goes i guess the Indians should be whining EVERYBODY took their land there dignity away from them they were raped and beaten ALL THE TIME. Life is to short to live in the past start living your life today.

I think afrochic was only commenting on this question....and the feedback...it didn't come across to me that she saw hatred between white/black women. and i wouldn't really compare the hardships that white women went through with that of black women, because although all woman had to endure and overcome a lot, white women back in the day did have more priviledges, more rights, respect than a black woman.
