the spanish conquistadors that came to latin america were white-some had red hair, some brown, some blond,some black, and some conquistadors mixed with the balcks and indians and the mestizo race was born -but some didn't , for ex, the spanish that settled in costa rica killed most of the indians of, and the spanish made indians their slaves-if they didn't mix with them, they made them change their name-it's what the whites did to the blacks..

People don't realize that Argentina is 97% Caucasian. I remember the movie Starship Troopers was criticized for showing an all white Argentinian classroom, when most schools there are like that anyway.

Sometimes i also think some people are unaware that there are other spanish countries other than Cuba, Dominican Republic or Puerto Rico... I went to school years ago with a girl from Mexico who spoke only Spanish. She had very white skin, carrot-red hair, and freckles.
